Strawberry Cheesecake Martini

I’m not the kind of person that has to order dessert at the end of a meal, I’d rather just have another glass of bourbon. However, every now and then I just can’t resist the rich velvetines of a good slice of deep fried cheesecake! Damn it, now I’m starving for a slice, but the stores are closed and even though I’m sure I have all the ingredients to make one, by the time I muster up the will to leave my home bar, I’ll likely just nibble on some walnuts or look at a squirrel and the desire will come to pass, mostly… yay the squirrel is back!

Now where was I? Oh yeah! Cheesecake martini! All the velvety joy of cheesecake, with the added benefit of Vodka! Let’s just get into it :)

Start by muddling the 2 strawberries, make sure to leave 2 slices. 1 for the garnish and 1 because you just can’t resist eating it. Quality check, or whatever excuse works for you.

Add the ¾ oz of Roasted Marshmallow Syrup, and muddle up some more to really incorporate the flavours together

Add in the rest of your ingredients; Vodka, Irish Cream, Pineapple juice, and the cream.

If you don’t have heavy cream, just nozzle in some whipped cream, a 3 second stream should give you enough of a base. But you can always add more, just make sure it all fits in the glass.

Shake it for the duration of the chorus of My Milkshake by Kelis, you want to not only mix everything well, but break up the last bits of strawberry and add some air into the mix for that final texture.

Double STRAIN into a chilled martini glass!!! With some cocktails you can get away with some extra ice on top, or a touch of bits floating around, but you want a smooth cocktail, not a chunky gulp. Even the phrasing, chunky gulp, eww, DOUBLE STRAIN.

Now just top that plush pink potion with some more whipped cream and that saved slice of strawberry. Take a picture, go ahead, this is the internet age; if a dish gets served at a restaurant and nobody posts about it, did you even really eat today? And then just enjoy, it should be a bit thick, deeply sweet, and creamy. All the joy of cheesecake in a fraction of the time so you can get back to the things that matter, like doing funny voice overs for the whole squirrel community.

2 Strawberries

¾ oz Roasted Marshmallow Syrup

1 oz Vodka

1 oz Irish Cream

1 oz Pineapple juice

3 oz Whipped Cream or 1 oz heavy cream
